DÍA 1: CUSCO - MOLLEPATA - SORAYPAMPA
DAY 1: CUSCO – MOLLEPATA – SORAYPAMPA
Partiremos en bus hacia Mollepata, donde disfrutaremos del desayuno, mientras el personal carga el equipo en los caballos para iniciar la caminata rumbo a Cruz pata. Almuerzo y continuar hacia SORAYPAMPA a 3850 m.s.n.m. lugar de nuestro primer campamento. Cena. Pasaremos la noche.
We’ll be picked up by our guide to take a bus to Mollepata (start point of the trek), where we get our breakfast and get ready to walk up to Cruzpata where we get our lunch, after lunch we will have few minutes to rest and continue walking to Saraypampa (3850masl), the scenery is absolutely amazing at this point, for that we’ll stop for a while. Afterwards we’ll get to see our first campsite. Dinner.
DÍA 2: SORAYPAMPA - CHAULLAY
DAY 2: SORAYPAMPA – CHAULLAY
Temprano iniciamos la caminata mas difícil del viaje, recorreremos Pampa Salkantay hasta llegar al majestuoso nevado Salkantay punto mas alto ubicado a 4500 msnm luego descenderemos hasta Huayrac Pampa. Almuerzo, continuando hasta Chaullay nuestro segundo campamento. Cena. Pasaremos la noche.
After we have our breakfast we’ll start to climb up to the first pass of Salkantay, which is over 4540 masl. Here we’ll stop to take some pictures of the beautiful views. After this, we will go down to the town of Chaullay. Dinner and overnight.
DÍA 3: CHAULLAY - LA PLAYA - SANTA TERESA
DAY 3: CHAULLAY - LA PLAYA – SANTA TERESA
Fortificante desayuno. Caminaremos hasta llegar a Collcapampa, conocida como La Selva Nubosa. Allí observaremos variedad de flora, continuando hasta llegar a La Playa. Almuerzo, luego abordaremos un bus hasta el distrito de Santa Teresa donde disfrutaremos de sus baños termales. Cena, pasaremos la noche.
We leave Chaullay, today’s walk is nice because we get to see some orchids and cornfields along the way. After the walking for five hours we’ll finally get to la Playa, where we get the lunch. Then we’ll get a small truck towards Santa Teresa. We will spend the night here.
DÍA 4: SANTA TERESA - HYDROELECTRICA - AGUAS CALIENTES
DAY 4: SANTA TERESA – HYDROELECTRICA – AGUAS CALIENTES
Empezamos la caminata rumbo a la Oroya (Sistema de Cables para cruzar el río) en el trayecto apreciaremos una maravillosa vista de la Ciudadela de Machupicchu y seguiremos hasta llegar a la Hidroeléctrica. Almuerzo, luego tomaremos el tren hacia el pueblo de Aguas Calientes. Cena, pasaremos la noche.
After breakfast. we’ll walk for about two hours to get to the Urubamba River, which we are going to cross by cable. After this spectacular experience we’ll continue to get to the hydroelectric station, we take the train to Aguas Calientes from here. We’ll spend the night in Aguas Calientes town and sleep in a hotel.
DÍA 5: AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHUPICCHU - CUSCO
DAY 5: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO
Desayuno temprano, luego ascenderemos en bus hacia Machupicchu, donde el guía explicará el significado e importancia del lugar, se tiene la opción de subir la montaña Huaynapicchu desde donde se tiene una vista panorámica explendida de Machupicchu y alrededores. Por la tarde tomaremos el tren de retorno a Cusco. Pernocte en Cusco.
We have to wake up early to have breakfast and then take the first bus to Machupicchu; here we are going to have a guided tour, Afterwards we are going to have some extra time to enjoy it at your leisure. In the afternoon we’ll take the the train back to Cusco.
